block 8
My first task at the University in Delft was to design a housing complex
for 60 students. By seperating all all program items the building gets
an optimal own identity. Each program is designed in the most practical
way.
On the site is a
grid projected which accentuates the alterations and directions in the
composition. The size of the grid is 6 by 3 meters and is related to a
single student room. The inhabitants have the possibility to change the
privatness of the units by opening interior doors and windows. They can
share their kitchen with one or three collegues and can be connected to
the walkways. The walkway is designed as a indoor space but cab be an exterior
area when the Dutch wheater is generous with sunlight. On the groundfloor
is a central space where all kinds of activities can take place for inhabitants
or visitors.
analysis pavillion Suisse
During the design process we had to analyse a relevant project. What
we analysed is basicly functions. It turned out that the Pavillion had
a very usefull typology for my design.
